You might remember Leslie Hope as the wife of Jack Bauer on the hit television series 24. In 2014, she will be seen in The Strain, a new TV series directed by Guillermo del Toro in which a deadly vampiric virus threatens to infect New York City. Recently Leslie directed Christmas on the Bayou, a film that also starts in New York but ends up in Louisiana and features Ed Asner as Papa Noel, a Cajun version of St. Nick.
Christmas on the Bayou was shot in St. Martinville and produced by Active Entertainment, both of which are located in Louisiana. Esteemed Louisiana musicians CC Adcock & Dirk Powell add authenticity to the film with their Zydecco-influenced score. On December 14th the film has its television premiere on Lifetime.
